COLORADO
Bob had a conference in Denver, CO.
We took off Tuesday, Sept 26th and drove to Salina KS.
We then arrived in Denver on Sept 27th about 5:00 pm. Drove downtown to find the hotel where the conference was being held. They have 1 1/2 miles of shopping with free buses going up and down the 1 1/2 miles.After the conference we then drove to Colorado Springs. It was a beautiful city. We stayed at the "Garden of the Gods" Camp Grounds and visited all of the great sites.
Garden of the Gods. We took the COG up the south side of Pikes Peak on Friday and then on Saturday we drove up the north side. The trees were turning all the fall colors and it was GREAT. I need oxygen when I got to the top, but it was all worth it. We took in the The Manitou Cliff Dwellings is a rare historical treasure. We went to an old hotel and took in a very comical melodrama. It was a very pleasant evening. Bob climbed all 224 steps of the Seven Falls
